New students (not currently enrolled at Acadia University)
- Apply to Acadia University using the online application form. In the Additional Notes field, please indicate that you are applying for the TESOL Program
- Provide appropriate official transcripts
- We will confirm your acceptance within 3-4 business days and provide information on registering for your courses
- Register for your courses by logging into the Self-Service Portal and pay tuition and the $150 record of completion fee to complete your course registration
Acadia University students (currently enrolled, or have taken a course within the past 12 months)
- Register for your courses by logging into the Self-Service Portal and pay tuition and the $150 record of completion fee to complete your course registration
Register for your Practicum
If you would like to complete your practicum, you will need to:
- Contact the Acadia TESOL Coordinator
- Register for the Practicum (EDUC 4670 COINT) through the Self-Service Portal
- Pay the Practicum Fee
You must be registered in at least one TESOL course to begin your practicum.
Program Entrance Requirements
- You must meet the entrance requirements of Acadia University. Visit our Admissions homepage and select the appropriate guidelines from the Undergraduate Admissions (ex. International Students if you are from South Korea, Canadian Students if you are from Canada, etc.). Select the Acadia TESOL Program as your program of study.
- You must also meet the language proficiency requirements of TESL Canada in order to qualify for TESL Canada Certification.
- Since these are upper-level undergraduate courses, you must have some undergraduate course experience or permission from the program coordinator.
- Students who are not native speakers of English must submit official documentation (official language proficiency scores and reports) of their English proficiency.
